    What counts as a correction

    We correct inaccurate model specifications, conflicting statements, broken or superseded source links, mislabeled ratings, material date errors and language that overstates how a product was evaluated.

    How we source facts

    Manufacturer manuals, specification sheets and written warranties are the primary source for product facts. DOE, ENERGY STAR, CPSC, NFPA, IRS, DSIRE and adopted local codes are used for general technical, safety and incentive guidance. Retailer pages are used for prices, customer-rating snapshots and owner-feedback themes, not as the controlling source for technical specifications.

    How changes are shown

    Material revisions update the visible “Updated” or “Specifications verified” date and the structured-data dateModified value. Older facts are not kept merely to preserve a ranking.
